Most Facials at Beauty & Elegance include LED Light Therapy for FREE. Yes you read that correctly. This is usually charged as an "Add On" at most salons but not here. Because this treatment takes an extra 20mins to perform,  facials at Beauty & Elegance will take longer than most facials performed elsewhere. You'll need to allow a minimum of 90mins for  the average facial & up to 2hrs for others.

On average that's twice as long as other salons & for no extra charge!!!!!

You'll start by entering a softly lit room with soothing background music where  you'll change & slip between crisp, clean sheets under a luxurious billowy duvet into a soft, heated fully electric bed that is adjusted for your utmost comfort. From here your facial begins & without giving too much away I'll simply say that you won't find a more through & relaxing facial anywhere else in Christchurch for the prices you'll find here at Beauty & Elegance. Your experience here is more like a Spa Treatment with scalp, neck, shoulder, hand & arm massage, coupled with a bountiful supply of hot luxuriously soft towels throughout, Medical Grade Products, Led Light Therapy (to most but not all facials) customised masks, plus free add on extra's when time allows it. You'll also receive your choice of a lovely chocky treat before you leave.  

This is all performed by a fully National & Internationally qualified Aesthetician who is also an active member of the New Zealand Association of Registered Beauty Therapists, so you know you're in safe hands.

Express Facial- If you don't have time for one of my relaxing, full facials then why not opt for this "Express" Facial?
It involves a quick 40min mini facial where you'll recieve a double cleanse, exfoliation, steam, head massage (optional) & of course some of my lovely nourishing serums applied with a mini facial massage & of course SPF to finish off with.
This facial is not performed under sheets but you are offered a nice warm blanket to relax you & keep you snug while you & receive your facial. 🌷

This Problem Skin Facial facial is amazing for those suffering excess oil and clogged pores etc...  Blue Light therapy is applied to kill P Acne bacteria or a customised peel is applied. High Frequency is then performed. High Frequency is for people who suffer with excess oil production which leads to those pesky pimples we all despise. It will dry out your skin just enough to stop that annoying shine & if you do have active pimples I can "spark" them with the High Frequency wand to treat them individually, leaving them to dry out & heal much sooner than they would have if left on their own. . All this combined with a specialised anti-acne serum. 
If however you choose  DISINCRUSTRATION instead of High Frequency, you'll receive a treatment where your skin is treated with an electrical roller & solution to dry up excess oils & get rid of flaky thick skin

As we get older the components of our skin - especially the proteins Collagen and Elastin - degenerate, accelerated by sun exposure and gravity, pollution, harsh soaps and chemicals, cigarette smoke, drinking alcohol, and eating unhealthy foods.
The application of LED light is a non-invasive therapy that activates skin cells with low-level, non-thermal light energy. LED therapy converts light to energy within the skin cells, similar to the process of photosynthesis in plants. 
This facial gives you a full 40mins of LED Light Therapy & a fantastic exfoliation for your skin type & skin concerns.

Epidermal Levelling improves skin tone by removing surface debris, helps reduce black heads & can remove excessively thick skin, such as solar keratosis. Will increase the absorption of topical products & will create a healthier, more radiant appearance.
This treatment is also beneficial to remove fine vellus hair – known as ‘peach fuzz’. The perfect preparation for a special occasion as a smooth skin enables make-up to go on more smoothly & last longer.

Will it Affect Hair Growth?
Removing facial hair by Dermaplaning/epidermal leveling DOES NOT encourage more hair growth, or effect how the hair grows back. The consistency of the vellus hair will remain he same soft, fine peach fuzz.

Dermaplaning is recommended every three to four weeks. 
Great for all clients but especially those who find waxing too harsh – a great exfoliation option for sensitive skin.
 

You can choose from two of my "Luxury Facials"  The second includes everything the first & cheaper one does except you'll also receive a foot sanitising spray, hot towel cleanse, foot mask in booties & relaxing foot massage, but the biggest reason to opt for the second level Luxury Facial is that you'll receive a secondary facial mask that is like no other. You'll drift off into a lull of relaxation while a 6 Peptide serum is gently massaged into your skin then an Alginate mask is poured over your entire face, leaving just your nose free to breathe (eyes & mouth can be kept mask free is desired). This mask comprises of very finely crushed, dust like, sea shells that have absorbed all the regenerating benefits of the sea plus refreshing menthol. This mask is "occlusive" (stops air getting in) which means all 6 peptides in the serum applied earlier do not evaporate into the air, they have no-where else to go but deep into your skin where they lift, tighten, brighten & hydrate your skin. This Alginate mask then sets into a rubber like mask & once removed it reveals smooth, soft & amazingly hydrated skin.

These two extra treatments add another 30mins to your facial meaning this "Spa Treatment "Works" Facial will have you relaxing in my softly lit room in a cosy, comfortable, full sized, heated, electric bed for an entire 2hrs & 15mins. 

A Glass of filtered water, Blood Orange Fruit Tea, or Sparkling Fruit Flavoured Water will be left beside an assortment of chocolates for you to refresh & treat yourself at the end of your facial, before making your way into reception & sadly, back to reality.
