Wave

A consultation is needed before any IPL treatment as there are many different factors that need to be considered before going forward. A free test patch will be given at this consultation to ensure you're a suitable candidate. Safety is my main concern so this consultation is an important step in your treatment.  IPL (Intense Pulsed Light), is similar to a laser treatment. However, a laser focuses just one wavelength of light at your skin, while IPL releases light of many different wavelengths, like a photo flash. IPL penetrates down to the second layer of your skin (dermis) without harming the top layer (epidermis), so it causes less damage to your skin.

WHY DO I NEED SEVERAL TREATMENTS?
Several treatments are needed. Hair removal only works when the hair is in Anagen stage (hair growing stage) & at any one time only approx 20-30% of the hair on your body is in this stage so several hair growth cycles are needed to treat the hair when it is in Anagen stage.
