What does Electroporation do?
Electroporation & Iontophoresis
The dual Electroporation and Iontophoresis function is a highly effective method of introducing active substances into the dermis to repair and restore the skin and boost hydration in preparation for radio frequency. Using controlled electric pulses, Electroporation opens temporary micro-channels in the epidermal barrier. While Iontophoresis ‘pushes’ ionic solutions into the skin tissue and increases skin permeability. Research has shown that absorption of active ingredients by the skin is up to 20 times higher when combining these 2 technologies, compared to using electroporation on its own, meaning absorption can range between a staggering 70-90% more than when topically applying solutions only.
This can also be simultaneously used with a skin heating and cooling function (-20°C – +45°C) to stimulate fibroblasts and generate new collagen or used individually depending on the therapeutic goals. Since heating plumps the skin, relaxes facial muscles and stimulates blood circulation. While cooling contracts and tightens the skin.
